What is a Rhinoplasty?
A rhinoplasty, sometimes referred to as a nose job, is a surgical procedure for enhancing the size and shape of the nose. The shape and size of the nose play a large role in the overall appearance of the face. Some patients feel that an over-sized nose detracts from their facial balance. Patients who are unhappy with the shape of their nose due to injury or other reasons may also benefit from a rhinoplasty. Noses have many distinct variations, so we take a personalized approach to every rhinoplasty to ensure that each patient achieves their unique cosmetic goals.
How Much Does a Rhinoplasty Cost in Washington, DC?
The average cost of a rhinoplasty ranges from $3,500 to $7,800 but will vary depending on the extent of treatment necessary to deliver your desired results. During your consultation, we will evaluate your cosmetic goals to develop a personalized treatment plan. At this time, we will be able to provide the full cost of your treatment. To schedule any treatment, we ask for a $1,000 deposit that is nonrefundable. Two weeks before surgery, the patient will have a pre-op appointment where his or her full balance is due to be paid in full.
We offer flexible financing options, including Alphaeon® and CareCredit® to ensure that each patient has access to the treatment that they need. Alphaeon® and CareCredit® pay us in full and the patient pays the financing company a monthly fee. We also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards for your convenience.
What is the Rhinoplasty Procedure Like?
During a rhinoplasty procedure, incisions are made inside the nostrils, preventing any visible scarring. Through these incisions, we are able to reposition the cartilage and bone of the nose to produce the desired shape. A rhinoplasty can take between two and four hours, but patients are able to return home the same day of treatment.
What is Recovery like Following a Rhinoplasty?
After a rhinoplasty, you will wear a nose splint to protect your nose and ensure that it heals properly. Patients may experience swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort for a few weeks. It may be necessary for patients to take time off of work and other activities for up to a week following their procedure. Exercise and other strenuous activities may have to be avoided for several weeks.
Are the Results from My Rhinoplasty Permanent?
A rhinoplasty permanently adjusts the nasal features for long-lasting results. Subtle changes in the nose may still occur throughout the aging process, but patients can expect the results from their rhinoplasty to last for many years.
